The Carolina Aeronautical Academy is an Aeronautical Engineering camp that gives students a broad understanding of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV’s).

Our purpose is to educate and empower our students to solve basic to complex problems by utilizing the engineering process of design. Students will develop valuable engineering skills through activities, and apply their skills to a real-world open-ended problem centered around building and testing fixed-wing and/or multi-rotor drones. Students learn a variety of technical skills such as the Bernoulli’s Principal, forces of flight, airfoils, low voltage wiring and electrical components, physics, soldering, etc. Additionally, not only do our students learn and develop the skills needed in the industries centered around Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Avionics, but also during this program they are encouraged to cultivate their imagination and creativity through engagement, innovation, communication, teamwork, and presentation.
